I decided we needed a walking group for 50+ adults who enjoy walking for aerobic exercise at different scenic locations throughout the DC area on the weekend. (Friendly dogs [with owners who pick up after them] who enjoy walking along with their owners are also welcome.) The goals are good exercise and making connections with others who enjoy walking. It's more fun to walk with a friend than to walk alone. The walks will be two to three hours on non-strenuous terrain.

I am looking to bring together moderate to fast walkers for walking Monday-Friday around 10:00am in Valley Stream Park behind Sleepy Hollow Recreation Association. This is approximately a 3 mile loop and is mostly wooded along the stream. There is one large hill coming and going but otherwise flat.

The KOP Fit Club was founded in July 2011 to start a fitness revolution for our church. Now we are looking to expand and help others glorify God with our bodies. We have a weekly aerobics class and weight management support group. We are also participating in the Girltrek challenge and will walk together once a week.
